The subject matter was good, The tutor very knowledgeable. The location was difficult due to the heat on the day, moving shade and not enough table space. An additional table was put out but the camp chairs were too low for the table and two hours on a bench seat was difficult for some people.

Title or Location: The Murchison
It seemed like a gentle stream, from my vantage point, posing a profound question, and inviting me to reflect on my presence as the sunlight danced across its surface beneath the cloud cover. The Murchison, actually a powerful force, being the second largest river in Western Australia , flowed beneath, through the sandstone cliffs carving its way into the Indian Ocean, a truly uplifting sight and feeling, I would behold only later. Although recapturing its atmosphere can be elusive, painting

Beyond the Hill.WAWatercolourThe beautiful Meanarra hill look out at Kalbarri proved to be the perfect spot for capturing the scenic Murchison River as it flowed into the Indian Ocean. While I did miss the opportunity to see the view at sunset, when it appears most spectacular, I was satisfied to have seen it when the sun was still high, with the white and reddish rocks making a striking impression against the green, and the ocean shining with a luminosity akin to that of a diamond. Hiking down from the top of the Lesmurdie falls at Mundy Regional Park to the bottom, I noticed a distinct change in the sound of the fall, transforming from a roar to a gentle tinkling. Upon reaching the bottom, I was amazed by the breathtaking view, where a brook zigzagged and bubbled its way between the trees and rocks. Before crossing the brook to ascend to the other side, I captured this image and stored it on my phone, knowing I would paint it. An year has passed by and I finally painted

Title or Location: The Boat at the Shelly Rossmoyne foreshore park.
When days stretch long and sunsets occur late, I indulge in leisurely walks at the Shelly Rossmoyne foreshore park situated adjacent to the Canning river in Perth, WA. Although the broad vista of the Canning river, boats, and setting sun is certainly a pleasure, I find greater enjoyment in discovering secluded spots by peering through the trees that flank the path. Occasionally I get the opportunity to glimpse birds perched on branches but this particular boat has consistently been moored there,

I've never been one for the sea, I reminded myself, preferring trees, bushes, and hills, but the view of Thistle Cove at Cape Le Grand National Park , thirty minutes from Esperance, was nothing short of spectacular, boasting a beautiful bay with white sand and crystal-clear turquoise water. I loved it.

I had been painting for about 3 months, watching tutorials on uou tube, practicing different techniques. I was feeling confident. I had a blank sheet and some inspirational pictures around me and started to build a picture. Once the flow came it was like a wave, not stopping until I wad happy, finishing it off with the bee in the flower. I love bees. Felt overjoyed at my achievement in this piece.
